A parra - diddle is something like the following.  ( R=right hand.  L + Left hand ...MAKE THIS HAND LOUDER THAN THE OTHERS WHEN TOU SEE A ^ ABOVE IT)
^                ^
R  L  R  R     L  R  L  L

^     ^                  ^     ^
R  L  R  L  R  R     L  R  L  R  L  L

^                ^
R  L  R  R    L  R  L  L

^      ^    ^                   ^      ^      ^
R  L  R  L  R  L  R   R     L  R  L  R  L  R  L  L

^ ^                      ^ ^
R  L  R  R  L  L     R  L  R  R  L  L

Now hit all your R's on the floor tom and the L's on your snare drum.  (except for the last line, that is going to be  first R on Right Tom and the first L on Left Tom and the Doubles R  R  L  L on the snare) That's what you call a parra diddle DIDDLE .

Now use the following with the R on the Hi hat cymbal and the L on the snare drum.

R L R R     L R L L      R L R R      L R L L

COUNT AS 8THS OR 16TH'S.

8th notes: one and two and three  and four and.

1  +  2  +  3  +  4  +  1  +   2   +   3  +  4  +
R  L  R R  L  R  L   L     R   L   R   R  L R   L   L

Or as 16th notes sounding like one  e  and  ah       two   e   and   ah        3    e    and   ah       4   e     and     ah.

Looking like this and said twice as fast as you would be counting 8th notes.

1  E+ A      2   E +   A     3  E +  A     4  E +   A
R  L R R      L   R   L  L     R  L R  R     L  R  L   L

You can hit your bass drum on the 1 2 3 (and) 4 or on all notes.  You can hi your hi hat pedal on one and three and your bass drum just on 2 and four.  You can also hit your hi hat on all notes and have your bass drum take over the right hand parts.

You can split this in half and have the first half with the right hand on the right tom and the left hand on the left tom ( R  L  R  R     L  R  L  L  )
AND THE SECOND HALF OF RLRR LRLL would be on the floor tom with the Rights and the lefts played with your left hand on the right tom.

Like a Thai  kickboxer, this should be practiced at least a thousand times in one sitting.  Maybe 2 hours or so.  Just experiment with whatever drums you have and mix it up with the bass drum taking over some of the notes.  Also if counting as 16th notes, don't play all the notes and your next fill won't sound like the last so much.

Next drill will sound like a Latin Samba beat due to the double L's being hit on the left tom.

Change up the double lefts to your other toms.  Accent your snare and try to make the other notes as quiet and fast as possible.
